Welcome, friends. I’m glad that you are here. It has been on my heart to begin this blog for several years, but it has been a process for me to get to the point of readiness. It is my hope that this blog will be a place of truth, encouragement, and refreshment for your soul. You can expect to find me writing on a variety of topics that pertain to the Christian life. Because I enjoy reading, you will also find book reviews and recommendations. I will also post resources to aid you in studying and learning from God’s Word.
Let me tell you a little bit about me. I was born and raised as a pastor’s kid in the Seattle area. I moved to Wake Forest, NC in 2007 to pursue my Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Studies and English Literature from the College at Southeastern. The weekend after I graduated, I married my husband, Josh. We have been married for almost nine years. He serves as a pastor.
While our marriage has been a joy, the Lord has brought many trials into our lives over the years. We walked the journey of childlessness and infertility for five years before the Lord provided us with two beautiful children through the blessing of adoption. God has taught us much about waiting, perseverance, faith, and hard things. Adoption is near and dear to my heart, and I am thankful that the Lord saw fit to bless us with children in this way.
I hope this journey together will bring joy, growth, and hope to all of us. Thanks for coming along!
